In Pennsylvania, there are two options for mail ballots. You may request a mail-in ballot or an absentee ballot.

Simply complete the ballot and return to the county.

Absentee ballot: If you plan on being out of town on election day or if you have a disability or illness that would prevent you from going to your polling place. A reason must be provided if you request this ballot type.

Mail-in ballot: Any registered voter may apply to vote by mail in the next election. No reason needed.
